Jinjer's exuberant brand of soaring, djenty metal and high-energy performances lend themselves kindly to large crowds who want to see a fucking show. When the Ukrainian band hit the stage at Poland's Mystic Festival in June, they delivered exactly that and had their "main dude" Oleg Rooz on hand to capture a stunning one-shot video in which the camera man weaves in and out of the musicians as they captivate the enormous audience. Highlighting their individual and collective performances while giving the impression of being right there with them, the sleek "Ape" performance clip showcases Jinjer's growing grip on metal fans across the globe.
"Ape" appears on Jinjer's Micro EP, which the group released in January and is looking to follow up later this year with a new full-length. In early June, vocalist Tatiana Shmailyuk completed tracking vocals for the upcoming record. In September, the band is set to kick off its first-ever North American headlining tour — see dates for that below.
