Watch Metallica Dedicate Gripping "Moth Into Flame" Performance to Amy Winehouse

"This next song is about this drug... It's a drug called fame."

Metallica honored Amy Winehouse at their Antwerp, Belgium, show on November 1st with a powerful rendition of "Moth Into Flame," dedicated to the late singer's memory. Today, the Big Four thrashers have shared professionally shot footage capturing the punishing run-through, heartfelt introduction and all.

Frontman James Hetfield named Winehouse while introducing the ripper, from 2016's Hardwired ... to Self Destruct, which tackles drug abuse and the pitfalls of fame. "This next song is about this drug, it's not talked about too much: It's a drug called fame," he began. "It gets in your head. We've been playing music for 36-plus years, and we've seen a lot of people fall because of fame, chasing fame." He later dedicated the song to Winehouse, referring to the "Rehab" powerhouse as "one who was risen up and thrown back down." Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning in 2011, aged 27.
