Watch Metallica Members Honor Black Sabbath With Blistering "War Pigs" Cover

Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and Co. at Birmingham, England, show

Metallica's brought their Hardwired ... to Self Destruct tour to Birmingham, England, last night, October 30th. Like the band's previous Hardwired ... to Self Destruct shows, the Genting Arena set found Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo briefly taking command of the proceedings on their own. This time around, the pair honored Birmingham's hometown heroes Black Sabbath with a sing-along of Ozzy Osbourne and Co.'s classic "War Pigs." The rendition arrives in the wake of the duo's spirited take on Oasis' "Don't Look Back in Anger," which the pair busted out at last week's concert in Manchester.

This is hardly the first time the Big Four thrashers have paid homage to Black Sabbath; after inducting the legends into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 2006, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich took the stage with the rest of their bandmates to perform a brutal medley of Sabbath staples "Hole in the Sky" and "Iron Man."
