Thrash titans release raw camcorder-shot live footage ahead of '...And Justice for All' reissue

The countdown continues to the release of Metallica's massive 30th anniversary edition of thrash classic ...And Justice for All, and the band has released another live video in their continuing series, this one for the record's closing cut, "Dyers Eve." The group released a remastered version of the track in September; now they've gone lo-fi, dropping camcorder-shot footage of their first-ever live performance of the song from a March 5th, 2004 show at The Forum in Los Angeles.

Singer James Hettfield can be heard telling the crowd before the quartet bust into the whip-fast number, "This is a song we haven't played in 100 years. I don't think we've ever played it before, so here we go." Metallica would go on to perform "Dyers Eve" 34 more times up until its most recent appearance on the set list in 2010, but with the WorldWired Tour raging strong through next summer, maybe fans will get lucky enough to hear it live again.
