Watch Motörhead's Pummeling Live Performance of "Iron Fist" in 1982

Lemmy and Co.'s Toronto concert was penultimate show with guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke

Thirty-six years ago today, April 3rd, British heavy metal icons Motörhead released one of their most beloved singles "Iron Fist." The title track to 1982's fifth studio album, "Iron Fist" was Motörhead's last-ever ripper featuring the original lineup of bassist and vocalist Lemmy Kilmister, drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor, and axeman "Fast" Eddie Clarke.

Though "Iron Fist" stands as one of OG Motörhead's best displays of on-record chemistry, the searing song is ultimately a reflection of a tense period during the band's history, when creative and personal conflicts were pushing Kilmister and Clarke further and further apart. The guitarist departed just over a month later, on May 14th, 1982, two stops into the album's accompanying North American tour. Fortunately, we've got fan footage of Clarke's penultimate gig with Kilmister and Taylor, performed on May 12th at Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens venue. Watch Motörhead blaze through "Iron Fist" above, and check out the whole, 45-minute set below.
