Host Kennedy heralded iconic 1994 soundtrack with star-studded show

On March 29th, 1994, The Crow soundtrack — arguably the greatest movie soundtrack ever, featuring exclusive cuts from Pantera, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, the Cure and many more — landed on record store shelves everywhere. The Crow movie followed a few months later, hitting screens on May 11th. Ahead of all this, MTV's Alternative Nation, hosted by Kennedy, heralded both the film and the album with a star-studded special.

The episode features interviews with Trent Reznor, Brandon Lee, Scott Weiland and others, as well as performances by Stone Temple Pilots, Violent Femmes and the Jesus and Mary Chain, who play their iconic songs from the soundtrack, "Big Empty," "Color Me Once" and "Snakedriver," respectively. It's a nostalgic throwback to a golden, gothier age. Watch above and below.
