Mastodon have shared an extremely bizarre video for "Steambreather," the latest single off the band's most recent album Emperor of Sand, which was released in March. Keeping in line with the Atlanta titans' long-standing tradition of goofy, darkly funny visuals, the clip (directed by Essy May and Stevie Gee, and produced by Blink Art's Hugo Donkin) sees two bored Mastodon fans who, after taking out their aggression on some unsuspecting hot dogs, attend on a lark a seemingly-tacky new-age seminar taking place nearby. Things quickly take a trippy turn, as the proceedings devolve into a recruitment ceremony for what is — you might want to sit down for this —essentially a murderous robot cult led by a bald guy who gets his victims high on some kind of cosmic cocaine, only to suck out the poor saps' souls with noses attached to his hands. Yeah, we can't wrap our puny minds around it either — but at any rate, the video is a must-watch.
