Highly touted NYC crew Krimewatch match hardcore fury with new-school hip-hop attitude, as heard on their self-titled debut LP, released earlier this year via Lockin' Out. But it's live in a grimy DIY venue that the band truly makes their mark, with raw, shambolic performances that value energy and emotion over instrumental virtuosity or polished presentation. The group's new two-song video, for the cuts "Dreams of Peace" and "Crybaby," captures the grit and glory of Krimewatch onstage, showing the multicultural co-ed band in blown-out color as they throw down in the sweaty, claustrophobic quarters of unspecified clubs. Check it out above.
