Watch A Perfect Circle's Haunting New "Eat the Elephant" 2D Holographic Video

Maynard James Keenan's solemn vocals pair perfectly with surreal, otherworldly visual

Taken from the world's first "album-length hologram film viewable via a prism" directed by the renowned Steven Sebring, a two-dimensional version of  A Perfect Circle's "Eat the Elephant" video is now available to a wider audience.

The clip, taken from the album of the same name, features a young girl perched on her bed, staring into a prism where she sees a bizarre battle between a man in a gas mask battling a mechanical octopus-like creature as the vantage point swoops in dramatic circles around the action. The melancholic ballad highlights singer Maynard James Keenan's dynamically beautiful voice, a crooning piano-heavy backdrop to the surreal action of the otherworldly clip.

The video comes in the same week as A Perfect Circle's rare, intimate Grammy Museum performance and the announcement of their upcoming Record Store Black Friday offering, a limited edition 7-inch featuring "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish" with a B-side of the AC/DC cover "Dog Eat Dog."

Sebring spoke with Revolver a few months ago regarding the creation of the Eat the Elephant holographic film, saying "It's about a 12-year-old girl — [like] 'Is it through a child's eyes?' Or something like that. Then you see in the film, she grows up and she's seeing this whole vision of Eat the Elephant through the lens of a hologram of her eyes."
