Musician performing "Nirvana hits and fan favorites" for coronavirus relief

Post Malone loves Nirvana. The pop star has previously covered "All Apologies" live, and he has a portrait of Kurt Cobain tattooed on his knuckles (not far from his Dimebag Darrell tat) as well as "Stay Away" inked on his forehead, a nod to the Nirvana song of the same name. As announced earlier this week — breaking the internet in the process — Post is taking his fandom for Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl next level today (April 24th) by playing a Nirvana tribute concert from his home and livestreaming the event via his official YouTube channel. Watch above.

In addition to hailing the grunge giants, the broadcast is set to raise money for the United Nations Foundation's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. Throughout the show, Google will match all donations at up to $5 million, with all proceeds going to the UN Foundation.

The Nirvana tribute livestream show is just the latest in a recent string of activities underlining Post's passion for rock music. The "Circles" singer screamed Pantera at karaoke, hung out at Slayer's final show and, of course, asked Ozzy to guest on his last album, Hollywood's Bleeding, and returned the favor by appearing on the Prince of Darkness' Ordinary Man.
