Watch Post-Metal Act Throes' Tense New Post-Apocalyptic "Disillusion" Video

Idaho band evokes Neurosis and Amenra on crushing 'In the Hands of an Angry God' cut

As heard on their dark, epic debut album In the Hands of an Angry God — which was released by Holy Roar Records last year (you can pick it up here) — Idaho-based post-metal group Throes channel the grim, tectonic vastness of Neurosis and Amenra. Today, they've teamed up with Revolver to premiere their new music video, for the song "Disillusion." Watch it above.

The suspenseful clip follows a woman in a threatening post-apocalyptic world as she tries to secure medical aid for a dying man — if she doesn't die herself while trying. Throes vocalist Tyler Squire says of the striking, cinematic video, "We are very excited to debut the video for 'Disillusion,' the seventh track from our album In the Hands of an Angry God. Last year, video artist John Bradburn reached out to us in hopes of working together on a video idea that he had been mulling over. While music videos are sometimes overlooked as an unimportant aspect of a band's art, they can often add another layer of meaning to the original concept. We are all honored that someone found something in our music that inspired them enough to reach out in hopes of collaborating and creating something beneficial for everyone involved."
