Red Fang have shared a goofy animated video for "Not For You," off last year's album Only Ghosts. Directed by Balázs Gróf, it finds the band spinning discs at a packed warehouse party in their native Portland. In an ostensible nod to the Rose City's rich tradition of cryptozoology (fun fact: it's the only city on Earth with a museum dedicated to the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot and the like), some strange characters crash the party, including the Abominable Snowman and a scantily-clad dragon.
Remarkably, DJ Night goes off without a hitch – that is, until Red Fang decide to swap their own music for tunes by Genesis, Hüsker Dü, Can and Helms Alee, pissing off the cryptids and earning them an ass-whooping or several. Just when you thought things couldn't get any weirder, drummer John Sherman gets abducted by aliens – and that's when the party really picks up. Check out the playful clip now.
In related news, Red Fang have added a second North American leg to their upcoming tour behind Only Ghosts (which kicks off October 17th at the Hi-Fi Music Hall in Eugene, Oregon). Shortly after returning from their European trek alongside Mastodon and Russian Circles, in late January, the four-piece will hit the road with Black Label Society and Corrosion of Conformity.
