Last week, Stone Temple Pilots revealed that Jeff Gutt — formerly of the nu-metal band Dry Cell, and a recent contestant on "The X Factor" — had joined the band as their new lead singer following a lengthy audition process. Now, professionally shot footage has finally emerged of the grunge legends' first show with Gutt, which took place at a one-off concert event presented by Sirius XM at Los Angeles' Troubadour on November 14th. One clip finds them debuting "Meadow," Gutt's inaugural single with STP; the other captures their explosive run-through of "Still Remains," off 1994's Purple.
In related news, Stone Temple Pilots have finished sessions for their self-produced, seventh full-length, Rolling Stone reports. Failure's Ken Andrews mixed the band's follow-up to 2010's self-titled LP and 2013's High Rise EP (which featured Chester Bennington), which is tentatively expected next spring.
