This fall, Slayer will headline shows at two venues it hasn't played in 25 years — the Hollywood Palladium on October 28 and New York's Theater at Madison Square Garden on November 27. Gojira and 4ARM will support.

Registered Slayer Fan Club members will receive an email offering them "first-access" to buy tickets through a pre-sale that begins Tuesday, August 6. Tickets go on sale to the public 10 a.m. local time Friday, August 9. Visit slayer.net for more ticketing info.

This will be the first time Slayer — Tom Araya/bass, vocals; Kerry King, guitar; Paul Bostaph, drums, and Gary Holt, guitar (who continues to fill in for the late Jeff Hanneman) — will play a concert in New York since the Big Four show at Yankee Stadium on September 14, 2011. It's the band's first Hollywood show since 2010's Jagermeister Music Tour.

Over the past 18 months, Slayer has toured throughout Europe, India, Japan, South America and Australia and co-headlined the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Tour of North America. Slayer has also been confirmed to play the Fun Fun Fun Fest 2013 to be held at the Auditorium Shores in Austin, Texas, November 8 to 10.

While recovering from the loss of Hanneman, Araya and King have begun to work on new material and hope to spend time in the studio prior to the dates announced above.

Dream Theater are streaming "The Enemy Inside," the first single from their upcoming self-titled album, today at USA Today.

You can check out the new track RIGHT HERE. Be sure to tell us what you think of it in the comments!

Be sure to check out the single's cover artwork above.

Dream Theater, which is scheduled to be released September 24 via Roadrunner Records, will feature nine new tracks. The album, the band's 12th, is the followup to 2011's A Dramatic Turn of Events.

In other DT-related news, Former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy — now in the Winery Dogs with Richie Kotzen and Billy Sheehan — recently discussed the idea of rejoining his former bandmates. As Portnoy told Radio Futuro, getting back with Dream Theater is something he'd do "in a heartbeat," adding that it would be an unlikely turn of events.

"I would do it in a heartbeat," he kicked off (via Music Radar). "They are the ones that have closed the door on it. I've only needed a break, and I've had that break."

"So I'm ready, willing and able. But I honestly don't think they ever will; they've closed their door on it and I think they're too headstrong in having to prove themselves without me. So I wouldn't count on it. But my door is always open."

Motörhead were forced to cut short their set at Germany's Wacken festival this past Friday after frontman Lemmy Kilmister found himself too weak to continue.

It was Lemmy's first live appearance since cancelling a set of shows in late June after being hospitalized with a hematoma.

The band played five songs — "I Know How to Die," "Damage Case," "Stay Clean" and "Metropolis and Over the Top" — before Lemmy left the stage. He came back to sing "The Chase Is Better Than the Catch" but then walked off again and didn't come back.

Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell later responded to "asshole tweeters" for spreading rumors that Lemmy had died. "Contrary to some reports, Lem is alive and kicking, so take no notice of these rumors from asshole tweeters," Campbell wrote.

"Motörhead rocked the Black Stage for more than 30 minutes and Lemmy gave everything to play an amazing show," said organizers of the Wacken festival. "He's keeping well, but the temperatures and circumstance led to the point that continuing the show would have led to a loss of quality. They did everything humanly possible to play this gig. Thank you so much, guys!"

Motörhead will release their 21st studio album, Aftershock, in the fall.

Infamous Santa Cruz hardcore legends BL'AST! may have broken up two decades ago, but earlier this year, BL'AST! guitarist Mike Neider contacted record label Southern Lord with news that he had found some mysterious old BL'AST! master tapes in a abandoned storage locker.

With the audio digitized, Dave Grohl, a huge BL'AST! fan, was contacted about mixing this recording. Inside his 606 Studios, a never-before-unreleased BL'AST! recording session from the mid '80s, dubbed Blood, was finally heard.

The lineup of the band at the time of the recording included second guitarist William DuVall (now the current vocalist-guitarist for Alice in Chains). Unfortunately, his tenure with BL'AST! was short-lived and no recordings from that lineup had been ever released.

Blood will hit stores on September 3 in North America. In anticipation, RevolverMag.com is premiering the song "Tomorrow" off the record right now. Check it out below.

Scar the Martyr have teamed up with Revolver to premiere their new single, "Blood Host." Their self-titled debut is set to arrive October 1 via Roadrunner Records.

Led by drummer and Slipknot member Joey Jordison, the band was rounded out in the studio by lead vocalist Henry Derek, keyboardist Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails), and guitarists Jed Simon (Strapping Young Lad) and Kris Norris (Darkest Hour). The live incarnation of the group features Derek, Simon, Norris, keyboardist Joey Blush, and bassist Kyle Konkiel.

Jordison says of the track, "It's very coincidental that 'Blood Host' is our first track and video because it was the first song I wrote for this project when it was nothing but a mere idea at best. Songs, of course, followed, and molded into an overall feel, concept, and now a full-length album. 'Blood Host' has it all: hypnotic riffs, soaring choruses, pummeling breakdowns, and the lyrics are infectious in every sense. We are very proud of the track and it pretty much lets you know where we are coming from, musically, and what we are all about live. Scar the Martyr, up close and personal."

Scar the Marytr are set join Danzig on their upcoming 25th Anniversary Tour, which will also include performances by ex-Misfitis guitarist Doyle and female-fronted pagan-metal outfit Huntress.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted a wish for a young Pantera fan named Peyton, who wanted to get onstage and shred to the Pantera classic "Walk" with frontman Phil Anselmo.

Last night in Tulsa, his dream came true while Anselmo was out on his solo tour with The Illegals.

A video of the performance is below.
