California-based thrash act Hatchet recently released their new album, 'Fear Beyond Lunacy,' via The End Records. Today, the band has teamed up with Revolver to premiere their new music video, "In Fear We Trust." Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments!

Lead guitarist and vocalist Julz Ramos said, "In the middle of shooting the video, Northern California's valley fire burned down the entire city of Middletown, including the film site on our friend's property. Then when we went to view the footage, the files were corrupted and un-retrievable. We had to re-shoot, but that allowed us to perfect what we were trying to achieve, as this was our first attempt at a concept video featuring an actor. A big thanks to our friend and fellow thrasher Mosh Branum, of the Bay Area thrash band Fog of War, for sticking with us from the beginning to the end on this project! He makes one hell of a gun-toting, survivalist type character who is going insane from his own fear and paranoia, which is much of what the track is about."

AceFrehley_1.jpg

Ace Frehley has announced the release of 'Origins Vol. 1,' a collection of 12 newly recorded classics from Ace's formative years featuring some of the biggest names in rock and roll, on April 15, 2016. Most notably, Kiss frontman Paul Stanley joins Ace on Free's hit, "Fire and Water." This collaboration marks the first time that Frehley and Stanley appear on the same studio recording since Kiss' 1998 reunion album 'Psycho Circus.'

Other guests on 'Origins Vol. 1' include Slash, who trades leads on Thin Lizzy's "Emerald," Lita Ford singing and playing lead on The Troggs staple "Wild Thing," Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 playing guitar alongside Ace as he sings his classic KISS composition "Parasite" for the very first time, as well as Jimi Hendrix's "Spanish Castle Magic." Pearl Jam's Mike McCready also plays guitar with Ace as he finally sings his Kiss 'Alive!' mainstay "Cold Gin."

Ace spoke with Rolling Stone about the new record, his guest players and recording with Paul after all these years. Regarding his reunion with Stanley, Frehley shrugs off any residual tension between the two of them. "We've always been friends," he says. "The press seems to amplify negativity. I guess it makes good copy."

"White Room," which can be streamed at RollingStone.com, is also an iTunes instant gratification track, meaning fans who pre order the LP on iTunes will receive the Cream cover song instantly.

The full track list for 'Origins Vol. 1' is:

01. White Room (CREAM)
02. Street Fighting Man (ROLLING STONES)
03. Spanish Castle Magic (JIMI HENDRIX) (feat. John 5)
04. Fire And Water (FREE) (feat. Paul Stanley)
05. Emerald (THIN LIZZY) (feat. Slash)
06. Bring It On Home (LED ZEPPELIN)
07. Wild Thing (THE TROGGS) (feat. Lita Ford)
08. Parasite (KISS) (feat. John 5)
09. Magic Carpet Ride (STEPPENWOLF)
10. Cold Gin (KISS) (feat. Mike McCready)
11. Till The End Of The Day (THE KINKS)
12. Rock And Roll Hell (KISS)

Today Rolling Stone debuts "White Room," the classic hit originally performed by Cream.

Sixx:A.M.—featuring bassist Nikki Sixx, guitarist Dj Ashba, and vocalist/producer James Michael—have announced they will release a new single, "Rise," on March 1.

The song will be from a forthcoming first volume of a double album, coming this year.

Of the single's message, Sixx said, "We are not a political band, but we are extremely reflective. During the making of this album, we were under the same media siege as the rest of the world, so 'Rise' came out of that and hopefully reminds people that we all have a voice."

Michael added, "Throughout history, some of the most dramatic changes have occurred when people reject the status quo and demand change. 'Rise' is about how we find ourselves at a global tipping point and how it is our duty as citizens of this world to come together, communicate with one another and rise up to demand more of ourselves and our leaders."

Ashba continued, "'Rise' to me, is a message of empowerment. It will take on a personal meaning to everyone who hears it, but the message is the same. Whether it's an individual trying to overcome their own struggles, or a nation as a whole, we can all rise above the negativity, if we stand up for what we believe in."

The band will also be touring across the U.S. Check out Michael's video below, where he announces the launch of a demand campaign video message, urging fans to request the band perform in their city. Click here to vote for which city you want the band to hit.

Canadian melodic metal act Shreddy Krueger recently released their new album, 'Deeper Darker,' via InVogue Records. Today, the band has teamed up with Revolver to premiere their new music video, "Dread." Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments!

The band said of the video, "'Dread''s theme is neither anti-meat or pro-vegetarian, simply a reminder of the sheer wealth we have here on earth, and the respect it should be shown, whether that be plant or animal. The video was shot over two nights at our guitar player's practice space, crafting simply from some twine and lights, and we're ecstatic to finally be showing it to you now.  Enjoy with a cold beverage of your choice."

This has been a good week for metal cameos on TV shows: on Sunday, Metallica appeared on the new Showtime series 'Billions,' and on February 11, Glenn Danzig will make his comedic debut on 'Portlandia.' But these are hardly the only times metal musicians have acted on TV. Below, check out five more non-performing TV appearances by metal men.

1. Anthrax – 'Married with Children'
After Kelly and Bud Bundy win a contest called "My Dinner with Anthrax," the two send parents Al and Peggy away on vacation in order to have the NYC thrashers over. Everything is going well—until the band members eat the "mystery pack" from the fridge. "Wow, the colors…" says a hallucinating Scott Ian.

2. Dave Mustaine – 'The Drew Carey Show'
When Drew needs to replace the musicians in his band, he conducts open auditions. Among the many hopefuls trying out for the gig—which pays a whopping ten dollars—is one Dave Mustaine. It's supposed to sound that way," Mustaine informs them about his shredding. Yeah, sure it is," Carey responds. "Next!"

3. Metallica – 'The Simpsons'
Metallica's 2006 appearance on the season 18 opener of 'The Simpsons' revealed two previously unknown facts about the band: One, they do not accept rides from strangers. And two, Otto the Bus Driver is the man responsible for stopping Kirk Hammett from quitting the group. Who knew?

4. Josh Homme – 'Portlandia'
Before Glenn Danzig's appearance, Queens of the Stone Age leader and former Kyuss guitarist Josh Homme stopped by 'Portlandia' to play Carrie Brownstein's "cool gay brother" in an episode of the comedy sketch show. Rather than "tidying up the house" and "redoing the living room," however, he and his boyfriend were only interested in doing Jager bombs.

5. Sebastian Bach – 'Gilmore Girls'
He may be best known as the singer for Skid Row, but who can forget Sebastian Bach's run as Gil, lead guitarist in the 'Gilmore Girls' band Hep Alien? Here he is talking mandolins and breast pumps with his Hep Alien band mates.

Chicago Open Air has announced Rammstein as one of the headlining acts for the three-day music, craft beer and Gourmet Man Food festival held July 15, 16 and 17 at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois, just outside Chicago.

This marks Rammstein's only 2016 U.S. performance and first Chicago show since 2012. Additional festival headliners will be announced February 16.

Rammstein are known for their explosive and creative live performances with spectacular lighting. In the course of two decades, the German rock band have risen to the apex of the great rock pyramid, achieving album and DVD sales in the millions, headlining major festivals and bigger venues around the world (including New York's Madison Square Garden, a show that sold out its 18,200 tickets in under 30 minutes!), and establishing themselves as peerless master showmen with an approach to their art – and 'art' is the word—that is dramatic, epic in scale and capable of touching all of the senses; a dark and spectacular fairy-tale laced with controversy and don't-try-this-at-home theatrics.

"Rammstein is an act that is headlining major festivals all over the world," says Chicago Open Air producer Danny Wimmer. "I've been trying to get Rammstein here for years and I couldn't be more ecstatic to launch Chicago Open Air with them. If you've never seen Rammstein LIVE before, you are in for a real treat."

Look for the full list of Chicago Open Air music, craft beer and artist-inspired beverages, as well as the Gourmet Man Food lineup to be revealed Tuesday, February 16 at 5:00 PM Central Time at ChicagoOpenAir.com.

Once those are sold out, GA 3-Day Weekend tickets will be $219.50 (Field) and $119.50 (Bowl) while supplies last, with prices increasing as allotments sell out.
