The band has just taken Europe by storm, having played across the continent last month to hundreds of thousands at some of the largest and most renowned summer festivals, including Download, Rock IM Park and Rock AM Ring.

"We are back and we are serious, and we are coming to see you as soon as we can," Dave Mustaine commented on Megadeth.com upon returning home this past weekend. See below for tour dates.

Genre-defying metal act Yakuza announce an August 7 release date for their new album, Transmutations (Prosthetic).
"Exploration, experimentation, riding the line between the familiar and the foreign; the essential elements for Yakuza have already been established," frontman Bruce Lamont says. "We are not interested in creating music that's not easily definable. Our roots are firmly planted in metal - yes, but like life, the sounds here are not cut and dry. At times this record can be uplifting, cruel, celebratory and just downright fuckin' mean."

December 10, 2002: Yakuza Live.

Utilizing producer and established multi-instrumentalist Sanford Parker (Rwake, Pelican, Minsk) for the recording of Transmutations, Yakuza couldn't be happier with the album's end sound. "Sanford was great to work with," Lamont says. "We really feel he has refined his craft over the past half a dozen recordings he's done. He's known the band for a long time and helped with our last release, so he is already aware of our studio tendencies. With him the process felt almost effortless."

With an album that continues the Yakuza sound while – somehow - also expanding upon the band's already established enigmatic concepts and forward-thinking approach to metal, Transmutations continues to push the envelope, carving a niche in the metal genre, while still continuing the band's originality that has garnered so much attention in the underground – metal, mainstream or otherwise.

Transmutations Tracklist:
1. meat curtains
2. egocide
3. congestive art-failure
4. praying for asteroids
5. raus
6. steal the fire
7. the blinding
8. existence into oblivion
9. perception management
10. black market liver
11. zombies

Battle Kommand Records announces that its most recent signing, Las Vegas, NV's death metallers Spun In Darkness, will release their debut, Birthright on July 17.

Spun In Darkness features the original drummer of early 90's death metal outfit Goatlord, Jeff Nardone. Nardone is also handling vocal duties for Spun In Darkness. Check out the following Goatlord video

, recorded during a 1992 in Las Vegas: Goatlord Live.

Atlanta, Georgia's heaviest band returns with their debut full-length album, Dog Magic (Battle Kommand), scheduled for a street date on September 11. Picking up where they left off with their debut self-titled EP last year on Battle Kommand, Zoroaster return with a devastating album of epic psych-doom metal that truly showcases the bands massive progression over the last two years. Moog synths, theremins, haunting vocal choirs and even a brass section are brought to the table this time to add to the massive heaviness that protrudes from all angles of this beast-of-a-bands sound.

Truly innovative and totally devastatingly heavy, Zoroaster are here to let the world know that U.S. doom metal is alive and well. Plans for extensive touring are in the works. Zoroaster will be taking on the United States again this summer with Christine (see full dates below) and again this fall, and will hopefully be reaching European shores in early 2008.

Vancouver, BC-based heavy metal warriors 3 Inches of Blood make their Billboard debut this week as their new album Fire Up the Blades (Roadrunner) lands at #147 on the Top 200. In addition, the band soars to #2 on both the top new artist and current hard music charts, as well as #20 on the top hard music chart, shifting nearly 6,000 units.

Listen to what Judas Priest's Rob Halford had to say about 3 Inches of Blood at the following location:

Halford on 3 Inches of Blood.

Fire Up the Blades was recorded at Vancouver's legendary Armoury Studios (AC/DC, KISS) and Mushroom Studios (Queensrÿche) with producer Joey Jordison (Slipknot) and engineer Dan Turner.

3 Inches of Blood are currently in their 4th week at #1 metal radio, taking over the top position on the CMJ Loud Rock, FMQB Metal Detector and the MediaGuide Metal Specialty charts simultaneously. The band will be one of Ozzfest 2007's featured acts and has also announced a slew of "Off-fest" shows that will see it joining forces with Lamb of God, Hatebreed and Behemoth.

Set for a September 18, 2007 release, Iron Gag is the newest record from Philadelphia hardcore metal band, A Life Once Lost. A sneak peak of the single "Firewater Joyride" can be found at the following location

, myspace.com/alifeoncelost. The album was self-produced by the band and mastered at West West Side Music by the venerable Alan Douches.

"Today we bestow upon you the future classic known only as 'Firewater Joyride'," comments ALOL guitarist Doug "Snake Sustain" Sabolick. "Since we are known mostly for the ultra heavy, we figure we'd throw out a curve ball and release a f*ckin' rocker. It's time for the real motherf**kers to take the reins".

"There's a lot of things I wanted to say to a lot of people on this record," ALOL frontman Bob Meadows explains. "Even within a song, there could be two or three people I'm talking about. It was inspired by a lot of things I've wanted to say but haven't because I had to watch myself. There are so many ugly things going on in the music scene and life, and I was just like, 'F—- it, if I say something that's going to piss someone off, then it wasn't meant to be anyway. Let me just get this all off my chest.' So, this album's just really pissed, and it's very vicious.

"The songs are just way more fierce," he continues. "There's an element about it that Hunter didn't have, and I think maybe that was because of us doing it ourselves. It was us learning from [Hunter producer and Anthrax guitarist] Rob Caggiano how to actually approach the songs and my working with [Lamb of God's] Randy Blythe on the vocal production, which taught me how to approach the songs well. And with all of that working together, we've definitely put out a record that's going to move a lot of heads — make people turn around and be like, 'Holy sh—.' It's a monster of a release."

The final track listing for Iron Gag is as follows:

1.) Firewater Joyride
2.) Detest
3.) The Wanderer
4.) Worship
5.) All Teeth
6.) Meth Mouth
7.) Masks
8.) Pigeonholed
9.) Others Die
10.) Silence
11.) Ill Will

While the members—Craig Kasamis: guitar/vox, Nick Minasian: bass, and John Crerar: drums—have each been playing in bands for more than ten years (including Missing 23rd and Ox vs. Thunderbird), the Fucking Wrath formed a year-and-a-half ago as a result of jamming for fun after work.

Since their initial gig in November of 2005, they have played nearly 70 shows to date, including the No Idea Fest IV in Florida. The band recently completed a five-and-a-half week U.S. tour with Glass and Ashes and is set to embark on another nation-wide tour with Ox vs. Thunderbird in the summer of 2007. Some of the notable bands that they have played with include Tragedy, Coliseum, Planes Mistaken for Stars, Das Oath, Adolescents, and Dr. Know among others.
