Ministry's final studio album, The Last Sucker, will be released on September 18 (13th Planet/Megaforce) followed by a world tour in 2008. "I've got a lot of side-projects and new projects I want to focus on," explained Jourgensen. "We have our

our own label, 13th Planet Records, we're building, and I want to sign, produce and collaborate with other artists. Being in the studio writing, recording and collaborating is my favorite part of this snake-oil industry. I'd rather be behind the console than behind the mic. Plus, I kinda like the synchronicity of Dubya and Ministry riding off into the sunset hand in hand."

In addition to being Ministry's final studio album, the 11-track The Last Sucker is the third in an unrelenting and uber-critical CD trilogy aimed at exposing the plethora of foils, failures and fabrications perpetrated by the George W. Bush Administration. The Last Sucker, which follows Houses of the Mole (2004) and Rio Grande Blood (2006), is the final nail in the Dubya coffin. To represent the Prez accurately, Jourgensen interspersed snippets of Dubya sound bites and samples throughout The Last Sucker. "My engineer and I were hunched over a computer for nights on end listening to this fucking idiot until our minds were numb. I mean, I'm absolutely stupider for listening to his drivel for such concentrated periods of time, but I viewed including these sound bites as a necessary evil."

The Last Sucker was produced and recorded this past Spring by Jourgensen at his 13th Planet compound just outside of El Paso, TX, and sees the return of Rio Grande Blood musicians Thomas Victor (Prong) on guitars, Paul Raven (Killing Joke/Prong) on bass, with newcomer guitarist Sin Quirin from The Revolting Cocks 2006 touring line-up. Jourgensen and his engineer John "Bixby" Bilberry handled all the drum programming. In addition, Burton C. Bell from Fear Factory makes a vocal appearance on "Die In A Crash," as well as the album's final two songs, "End of Days" parts One and Two.

The track listing for The Last Sucker is as follows:

Let's Go
Watch Yourself
Life Is Good
The Dick Song
The Last Sucker
No Glory
Death and Destruction
Roadhouse Blues
Die In A Crash
End of Days Part One
End of Days Part Two

In This Moment's new video for the track, "Beautiful Tragedy," can now be streamed online exclusively through the following url. Shot by renowned director Robert Hall (Josh Todd), this is the group's second video clip off their highly acclaimed debut album, Beautiful Tragedy. Click

here to check it out.

The "Beautiful Tragedy" single is starting to create a buzz at Active Rock radio garnering heavy play at such tastemaker stations as WKQX (Chicago), KSAN (San Francisco), KTBZ (Houston), WRIF (Detroit), KUPD (Phoenix) and KXTE (Las Vegas). The track has also just been posted on the band's official MySpace page.

Chris Howorth (guitars) states: "We are very excited about the upcoming release of our video for 'Beautiful Tragedy.' We shot it on location in the mountains of Santa Clarita after a recent forest fire so the whole set is very dark and creepy with burnt out trees, scorched earth and lots of smoke and ash. While the last video for 'Prayers' relied primarily on live performance footage, this clip combines that with some dark, fairy tale type storyline, which is pretty cool.

"The video was directed by Robert Hall, who is well-known for his special effects work. Rob had a vision for this song and, with Maria's help, they came up with a very cool treatment that combined with the incredible location to really make this a cool video. Rob did an amazing job of coordinating the crew and making the whole thing happen. We can't wait to see it air on MTV and we hope you all enjoy it."

"Evil Ways" will be available for purchase starting July 31 and for fans will be the first and only advance listen of the album set to hit North American stores on August 28.

Tampa-based Obituary featuring vocalist John Tardy, guitarist Trevor Peres, bassist Frank Watkins, drummer Donald Tardy and new guitarist Ralph Santolla are one of the genre's most respected and successful bands. Regarding the band's new cooperation with Candlelight Records Frank Watkins says, "we are very excited to be part of Candlelight Records. This will mark a new chapter in death metal history." John Tardy says, ""we are really looking forward to having a record company that wants to work with us. We feel rejuvenated and this new album is gonna be sick!" Donald Tardy adds, ""we couldn't be more pumped about teaming up with Candlelight. It is an unbelievable feeling to know that a record company cares about our music as much as we do."

Album art for Xecutioner's Return was created by artist Andreas Marshall. Marshall has worked with the band for The End Complete and their most recent record Frozen in Time. The album was produced by the band with mastering completed at Morrisound Studios in Tampa on June 16.

Bay Area thrashers Light This City are currently on the road, headlining the Thrash and Burn Tour, alongside labelmates The Funeral Pyre. The band has offered this update from the road:

"The Thrash and Burn Tour 07 is going amazing! The first week was definitely awesome, and beyond our expectations. The first five shows were with Cerberus and Antagonist, who killed it each night. Highlights include Redwood City, Fresno, and The Chain Reaction! Thanks to everyone who have come out to the shows so far. Besides the horrible, horrible heat in the desert, we couldn't be having a better time. We are now with The Funeral Pyre and Antagonist for the rest of the tour. This tour has been so awesome because everyone on the tour are pretty much best friends. We have known these bands for a long time and toured with them before, so we are one big heavy metal family. We have three new awesome merch designs on this tour, so if you are planning on coming to any of the shows, prepare to see some awesome new shirts and hoodies. This is our first tour headlining, so we sincerely appreciate everyone who has come out to the shows thus far. See you on the rest of the dates!"

The band continues to support its latest effort, Facing The Thousand, which saw a fall 2006 release through Prosthetic Records. The band recently shot a video for the track "The Unwelcome Savior" with director Soren (Unearth), which can be seen here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=1H4SVRApGhM.

A benefit concert for Skin Kandy drummer Joey Intervallo's son Dominic Intervallo will be held Thursday, August 2nd, 2007 at Europa in Brooklyn. The bands scheduled to play include Killing Time, Joe Coffee, Skin Kandy and more. Below

is a statement from Joey Intervallo:

Other bands include Uppercut, Awkward Thought and Everyday Dollars. It starts at 7:00 and it's 15 bucks to get in. We will have t-shirts and posters for sale as well, with the money going towards Dominic's medical expenses

Killing Time started out as Raw Deal back in 1988, but had to change their name for legal reasons right before their legendary 1st album "Brightside" was released. They are a highly respected, highly influential New York Hardcore band who always draw a big crowd whenever they play. They are good friends of mine and are the ones who set this show up, so I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Joe Coffee features the great Reverend Paul Bearer on lead vocals. Paul was the front man for the band Sheer Terror - one of my all time favorite groups. Joe Coffee also features Ray C whom I've known since his days in Sealed with a Fist, a hardcore/metal band from Brewster, NY.

Uppercut is another great Hardcore band from the late 80's/early 90's who morphed into the band Mind's Eye. The reformed about 2 years ago and are better now then they have ever been.

Awkward Thought is my good friend John Franko's band and for the last 10 years or so have been touring Europe and the USA, releasing records and keeping the faith. I played bass in AT for a few years in the late 90's (I'm on the "Mayday" album) and these guys have been helping us with this benefit so a big thank you to them too.

Everyday Dollars have been around for a few years now and their sound is totally "old school". A great bunch of guys and a lot of fun to watch.

Skin Kandy is the band I've been playing drums in for 10 years. The other guys - Mark Sisto, Richie, and Marc Gavone have been real supportive and have helped me out a lot since this whole thing started. We haven't played in a while so we're looking forward to really kicking out a top notch set.

All the bands have CD's out that you can find on-line or contact them through myspace.com. Jim Gibson of Noiseville Records has also been a great help in setting this up and hopefully we will have a guest DJ in the form of one Tony Pradlik of the late great Rockin' Rex record store...so thanks to those guys too.

For more information contact Club Europa at 98 Meserole Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11222. The phone number is (718) 383 - 5723. The e-mail address is europa@europaclub.com.

The career accomplishments of three-time Swedish Grammy Award nominated Entombed are more than extensive. Pioneering the early European death metal sound, the band has consistently delivered recordings always one ahead of their peers. Now with Serpent Saints long time fans will find an invigorated and streamlined quartet ready to carve yet another notch in already impressive career.

Serpent Saints closes a now four year gap since

the 2004 special 2xCD reissue of the band's highly regarded Inferno album (originally released by Koch then reissued by Candlelight in 2004). The album presents the band continuing to expand their signature sound as they embrace ten brand new songs. With European dates already booked the band look to return to the US for the first time since 2004 in late fall/early winter 2008. Even with the first glimpse via the widely-respected and now collected early Nihilist material (special demo album available now from Candlelight), listeners and now decade-long fans knew early on that Entombed was to go far.

Fans have come to respect the band's experimentation and with the arrival of Serpent Saints fans will again find quality metal and unique presentations from a band that so many respect and so few can rival.

Legendary Japanese iconcolasts BOREDOMS, a visionary band who has spent over twenty years pushing itself toward new frontiers, will stage the most extraordinary concert of their career on July 7, 2007. A once-in-a-lifetime performance featuring 77 drummers, and meant to be performed just once (on 7/7/07), BOREDOMS will create 77BOADRUM as a free show in the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park section of Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Located directly on the East River and framed by the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park section of Brooklyn Bridge Park provides an arresting stage for this performance. The free show will begin at 4pm and will feature performances by First Nation and Soft Circle and DJ sets from Gang Gang Dance before the 77-minute 77BOADRUM commences. Guests must RSVP on www.viceland.com/77BOADRUM.

A volunteer army of 74 of the best players in New York City's avant/experimental underground were selected by the event's music director Hisham Bharoocha, including members of Gang Gang Dance, No Neck Blues Band, Sunburned Hand Of The Man, Excepter, Sightings, Onieda, and more. They will join BOREDOMS drummers YOSHIMI, YOJIRO and SENJU, alongside 77BOADRUM mastermind EYE on electronics, effects, and vocals. A live sculpture built of musicians, BOREDOMS stand at the center as 77 drummers on full 5-piece, 3-cymbal drum kits snake around them in spirals, like the coils of a boa constrictor.

The number 7 resonates on many levels to BOREDOMS. The Japanese people descended from the Amur, a primitive people living on the Amur River in Russia, to the North of Japan. The Amur were followers of Amaterasu, the sun god. The Amur River snaked down from North Russia to what's now known as the Sea of Japan, delivering the Japanese people to Japan, who celebrate a cosmic connection with all that's north, or above, the world. 77BOADRUM helps reconstruct the river into a river stars in the heavens. On July 7 all of Japan celebrates Star Day. "7 is the number when we try to express sun as sound," says Yamatsuka Eye. "When I look at the sun, I see number 7."

77BOADRUM music director Hisham Baroocha is a writer, photographer, and musician who collaborates frequently with BOREDOMS. The Japanese-born Baroocha was previously a member of Lightning Bolt and Black Dice, and performs currently as Soft Circle and in Pixeltan.
