Last week, Marilyn Manson put Justin Bieber on blast for purportedly telling the shock rocker, "I made you relevant again," in reference to Bieber's line of expensive tour t-shirts emblazoned with Manson's image. "He was a real piece of shit in the way he had the arrogance to say that," Manson told Consequence of Sound of his conversation with the pop star, whom he referred to elsewhere in the interview as "stupid" and "a touchy-feely guy."

Now, it appears that the Biebs has caught wind of his roasting, and reached out to offer the Antichrist Superstar an apology – and Manson was more than happy to share the hilarious details on this morning's episode of "The Howard Stern Show." When asked about the feud, Manson told Stern he "doesn't really have a problem" with Bieber, going on to hand the host a "burner phone" containing a purported text conversation he had with Bieber after the Consequence of Sound interview went live.

Stern proceeded to read their chat on-air, beginning with Bieber's mea culpa: "Bro, it's Bieber what's up with that article? I thought we had a pretty pleasant interaction. Also, if anything wasn't squared away with the t-shirts I'm so sorry," he opened. "Anyway, regardless, it kind of stung seeing that I came off as an asshole or was just an asshole, I'm sorry." He followed up the apology with multiple question marks, prompting Manson's quixotic, quipped response: "words." The shock rocker added, "that's what I say to girls when they talk," and clarified that it was Bieber's remarks he was pissed off about, rather than his shirts: "It was just a cocky thing to say."

Nevertheless, Manson reassured the pop star that there was "no beef here," calling the interview exaggerated: "I just said 'you were just being you,' which could mean you're just being an asshole, or whatever," he told Stern with a laugh. "Honestly, I totally thought we hit it off," Bieber responded. "Again, my bad, if I was an asshole, that wasn't my intention – just want you to know that." Manson accepted his apology. "We are cool," reads the rocker's purported reply, "People just made that shirt stuff into a fake feud."

Next, he offered a proposal: "Let's turn it upside-down and fuck the press and do something together. It will be the best – and don't apologize, you weren't an asshole; They asked if you were, and I sort of agreed. I wasn't out to get you." He concluded by vowing not to "talk shit" about Bieber on Stern's show. "Well thanks, LOL," the Canadian replied.

There you have it: the Bieber-Manson beef appears to be doneszo, at least for the time being; in the meantime, Manson's gearing up to release his new album, Heaven Upside Down, early next month.
