In honor of the holiday season, Zakk Wylde recently stopped by the Loudwire offices to don a Santa cap and perform a recitation of Clement C. Moore's classic Christmas story 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. At least that was the plan, until the guitarist grabbed a pen and made a few "changes" to the familiar Yuletide tale.
It starts out innocently enough. "'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house/Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse," booms Wylde. "The stockings were hung by the chimney with care/In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there." From there, things take a turn for the violent. We won't spoil his hilarious edits, but we will say this: Wylde's version of Santa Claus prefers knuckle sandwiches to sugar cookies.
