Watch Underserved Kid Musicians Surprise Nothing With "Bent Nail" Cover

Earlier this year, Revolver traveled with Nothing to Philadelphia (the original home of the shoegaze group) for a session with Rock to the Future, a nonprofit that offers free after-school music education and other programs to the underserved kids of the city. "It's kind of a way to steer them out of shit that's really easy to get into in these schools and neighborhoods," frontman Domenic Palermo says of the organization. At St. Michael's Church, Palermo and bandmates Brandon Setta (guitar) and drummer Kyle Kimball (drums) jammed with students, shared musical advice, passed out Nothing merch to the kids — and watched proudly as the RTTF House Band play a surprise cover of "Bent Nail" that they had worked on for weeks to show the group. "It's cool to be able to try to be a positive role model for somebody who might need one," concluded Palermo.
