In honor of today's exclusive premiere of the new Body Count anthem "Bitch in the Pit," we present for your viewing pleasure—and in some cases, likely displeasure—our picks for the Top Five All-Girl Mosh-Pit Videos, based on many intensive hours of in-depth research and reconnaissance on YouTube. As always—whether you're female or male—be safe in the pit and look out for each other!

Slayer, Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival 2009
Girls moshing in mud to "Dead Skin Mask." Sweet dreams are made of these...

Scum, Gathering of the Juggalos 2009
From sweet dreams to a thing of nightmares...

Attika 7, Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival 2013
You gotta give it Evan Seinfeld: During his band Attika 7's run on Mayhem Fest last year, he had the good sense to call for all the females in the crowd to jump in the pit when the group busted out their song "Devil's Daughter." The video below is just one of the many clips that have surfaced of the resulting action.

Serj Tankian, Earthday Birthday 2008
Anyone else creeped out by all the topless dudes standing around this female-only slam-dance-athon? Or by the fact that someone's mom snuck in the action?

12 Stones, Rock on the Range 2012
We suggest turning down the volume before playing this video because the sound is seriously jacked. Crank up your own favorite mosh-pit anthem instead and enjoy the show.

The 2014 Revolver Golden Gods went down a little over a month ago, and the VH1 Classic highlights special just premiered last weekend. Unfortunately, not all of the action from the four-hour award show could make the hour-and-a-half special–so over the next few days, we'll be posting exclusive video from the show that hasn't been seen since the live stream of the Golden Gods. Here, you can watch The Pretty Reckless' three-song set from the awards. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.

Scandinavian hard-rock/heavy-metal outfit Crucified Barbara has launched a music video for the new track, "To Kill a Man." The track is the first single from the band's upcoming fourth studio album, In the Red, to be released on August 20 via Despotz Records.

"One fifth of all the world's women have been raped or assaulted in their lifetime," commented the band. "The dark statistics became the basis for the song 'To Kill a Man' and our most important message of the video. The production company 11Frames has captured our vision perfectly, and we are proud that we take the opportunity lifting heavy topics such as violence and sexism with a really heavy hard rock video."

"To Kill a Man" can be purchased on iTunes.

Dutch female-fronted symphonic-metal band Epica have released a lyric video for the track "Unchain Utopia." The song comes from their new album, The Quantum Enigma, which was released earlier this month via Nuclear Blast records.

"The 'Unchain Utopia' lyric video is one of the coolest lyric videos I have ever seen," commented guitarist Mark Jansen. "The footage worked out very well for this approach. Images and words strengthen each other. Initially we had a normal video in mind but that didn't have the same impact. We hope you will enjoy 'Unchain Utopia'!"

The Quantum Enigma can be ordered from the Nuclear Blast USA Webshop in a variety of formats and packages.

Back by popular demand, here's part deux of our sure-to-be-exhaustive search for all-female Japanese metal bands (see Part 1 right here). And we've found some truly badass babes this time, including Japan's answers to Arch Enemy, Faith No More, Linkin Park, Hellhammer, and more!

G∀LMET
The styling and setting of the video below might lead the viewer to believe that G∀LMET are a Japanese take on The Go-Go's or something. But watch, listen, and learn: The band actually growls and chugs out melodic death metal in the vein of Arch Enemy.

DOLL$BOXX
Formed when vocalist Fuki of the group Light Bringer joined the band Gacharic Spin, DOLL$BOXX make us think of a Japanese all-chick Faith No More, with all the ecstatic pop/roar vocals, funky bass lines, and spasmodic tempo and style shifts. And a lot less shitting onstage.

Anarchy Stone
This group's profile on JPopAsia.com describes them as follows: "The music message is 'The Power and Sound' Three-piece girl band with a back alley with them firmly 'ANARCHY STONE', and the Girl band 'cool' stuff that would make the unavoidable!" Which sounds just about right to us.

Gallhammer
Currently on hiatus, Gallhammer pummeled out crusty, black metal-inflected doom across three full-lengths and two EPs. But love got in the way: Frontwoman Vivian Slaughter married former Mayhem vocalist Maniac in 2011 and moved with him to Norway.

New Strike Zipper
Think of New Strike Zipper as a Japanese Linkin Park—but all girls, all Japanese, and with both vocalists sharing singing/rapping duties.

Bridear
Having only played their first show in 2013, Bridear are relative newcomers to the J-Rock scene, but they rip it up like power-metal veterans. Power-metal veterans that look like cute Japanese girls.

While compiling our recent list of Six Totally Insane Japanese Metal Bands, we stumbled upon, and fell head over heels for, all-girl group Aldious. And we happily discovered that they are hardly the only pack of ferocious femme fatales making heavy music in the land of the rising sun. Below, led by Aldious, are six of our favorites.

UPDATE: Check out Six More All-Girl Japanese Metal Bands.

Aldious
Active since 2008, these Osaka-based shredders have three albums to their name and a fourth one, titled Dazed and Delight, coming in June.

Cyntia
Tokyo's Cyntia look cute enough to play power pop band but are actually chug out power metal. A much better choice in our book.

Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation
Grindcore is generally a man's game. A smelly, hairy, filthy, ugly man's game. Which is why we were particularly stoked to discover this all-female Japanese grindcore outfit, who can blast with the best and burliest of them.

Destrose
Nodding to Iron Maiden and Helloween, Destrose deliver dexterous, fantasy-heavy melodic metal—and have been doing so for nearly a decade.

Exist † Trace
Part of the visual kei scene—a very Japanese style of over-the-top and often androgynous glam-goth rock—this girl group is known for its darker aesthetic, with sometimes sees frontwoman Jyou growling and shouting as well a singing.

Mary's Blood
Primarily featuring ex-members of Destrose, Mary's Blood play a slightly rawer, crunchier version of the former band's high-soaring power metal.

Photographers Karen Mooreside and Bob Brunner were on hand to catch the action during The BraveHeart Tour, featuring Stitched Up Heart and The Nearly Deads. Check out the photos below.

The Nearly Deads vocalist Theresa Jeane said, "I absolutely love Seattle. We got to do a photo shoot at Pike Place Market with Bob Brunner and it was so much fun! Me and Mixi got to take some pictures together. She's such a talented singer, a great performer and just an overall nice person to be around. We totes have girl crushes on each other!"

Stitched Up Heart Vocalist Mixi said, "Sorry boys and girls, TJ is mine. We have already planned our wedding and when we are going to adopt our children together!"

Stitched Up Heart will release their new EP, Skeleton Key, on May 20. The Nearly Deads will release their debut album, Invisible Tonight, on June 24.
