We've had Anthrax in this annual list since 2018, but 2024 seems like it'll finally be the year. It's been two years since Architects flipped the script with the more melodic and industrialized the classic symptoms of a broken spirit, and the U.K. metalcore heroes are ramping up again. They just returned with a banging new single, "Seeing Red," and shared news of a 2024 tour.

All signs are pointing to a new album — and a heavier one at that.

Title: POST-HUMAN: NeX GEn
Release Date: TBA

The follow-up to 2020's POST-HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR was supposed to drop last September, but was pushed back indefinitely due to "unforeseen circumstances." We've already heard five of its singles — "DiE4u," "sTraNgeRs," "LosT," "AmEN!" and "DArkSide" — and when the band recently split with keyboardist-producer Jordan Fish, they promised "brand new music coming soon." Let's hope.
