We at Revolver HQ are big fans of Amira Elfeky. The young rising star's swirling sound is a mix of Deftones' atmospheric alt-metal, Evanescence's melancholy goth-rock and King Woman's eerie doomgaze — or as Elfeky describes it, "a blend of 2000s nu metal mall goth bagginess (think 2000s older brother core) mixed with dark vampirism like corsets and lace."
The twenty-something singer-songwriter — who recently covered System of a Down for the "Spotify Singles" series — just played her debut headlining show, at the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles, and it was an interactive affair that saw Elfeky jumping into the audience and singing along up-close-and-personal with her fans.
