Caleb Shomo and Co. announce new album 'The Surface'

Beartooth has always been Caleb Shomo's vehicle for purging his mental health woes and documenting his own emotional journey, which hasn't always been pretty. Disgusting, Disease and Aggressive have been some of his band's album titles, and the first song he ever released as Beartooth was "I Have a Problem."

Things have apparently changed for Shomo, and for the better! Today (July 21st), Beartooth have announced that their next album is called The Surface (the inverse of 2021's The Below), and following their unexpectedly happy April single "Sunshine!," they've released another chipper tune from it called "Might Love Myself." Listen above.

"This album is the story of my beginnings in the new world I've created for myself," Shomo said in a press release. "One focused on health, self-love, positivity, understanding, hard work, and most of all second chances. At the end of the day, life is short for all of us. We can't escape the end, so why not make friends with it and live in a world focused on living a personally fulfilling life."

The Surface is out October 13th via Red Bull Records, and it's now available for pre-order in a variety of formats. Revolver has an exclusive "black and grey" colored vinyl variant that's limited to just 300 copies. Get yours from our shop!
