Hear ESCUELA GRIND's depraved new stalker anthem "Always Watching You"

A parasocial blast-attack from forthcoming full-length

We've all had our our eyes and ears on Escuela Grind for a while now, but it turns out they've been staring right back at us the whole time. Unsettlingly, maybe even more so than we could imagine. The New England extreme-metal force are now revealing those deviant, peeping-tom tendencies in a hard-grinding stalker anthem dubbed "Always Watching You."

The latest Escuela Grind track comes from a forthcoming full-length, which was recorded with Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studio. From the jump, it's a bombastically blast-attacked bit of venom, where vocalist Katerina Economou rifles off the various ways she's got her eyes glued on you. Even when you're sleeping.

Ultimately, its a stalker-horror ripper about how someone seemingly "innocent, charming and sweet" can actually be completely "debased and depraved."

"I've had this desire to write a song where I could portray the obsessive-stalker-girl archetype through lyrics for a while. Although not physically threatening, it's really interesting that society is so terrified of this stereotype," Economou explains

"In 'Always Watching You,' I wanted this fantastical, Nightmare on Elm Street-style imagery that was rooted in the gore and horror of death metal. Themes of parasocial relationships, anxieties from social media and an omnipresent algorithm are strongly observed in this song and throughout the entire album."

The video for the track visualizes her omnipresent menace, so watch out. That dirt pile in your unfinished basement? The forest near your neighborhood? Yup, she's always there. Creepy, isn't it?

Keep your eyes peeled for more news on Escuela Grind's upcoming, as-yet-untitled full-length, which is expected to arrive this fall via MNRK Heavy.
