Pantera bassist Rex Brown has chimed in on social media with a positive update on his current health status. Earlier this week, Pantera performed at Knotfest Chile in Santiago without their OG bassist, who had come down with COVID-19 in the days prior and had returned home to the U.S. to rest and recover.

"I caught a very mild strain of COVID, but because of our own protocols, I simply do not wanna risk getting my brothers or the crew sick," Brown wrote in a statement a couple days after the diagnosis. "I'm feeling better and am on my way to a speedy recovery. Merry Fckn Christmas and see you all next year!"

Now, Brown has offered an additional comment about his recovery, reassuring fans that he's doing well but also revealing that he was recently suffering from a 104-degree fever. Yikes!

"Quick update folks," Brown tweeted. "After arriving back in the States this week, I'm feeling pretty damn good for a cat that had 104 [degree] fever a short time ago. Damn Good! Already gearing up for these massive shows coming quick!Thx for all your kind words & Merry fckn Christmas!"

Great news. Keep healing, Rex.
