Trippie Redd has sounded off on why he loves Chino Moreno so much. The Deftones singer guested on the SoundCloud rap breakout star's 2020 song "GERONIMO," produced by blink-182's Travis Barker, and in The New York Times' massive new story celebrating hip-hop's 50th anniversary, Redd shouted out Moreno and explained what he appreciates so much about the revered alt-metal vocalist.
"I love Chino from Deftones," Redd enthused amid praise for Drake, XXXtenacion, JUICE WRLD and Lil Peep. "He's passionately in character with his vocals. It's like you gotta make certain movements and certain faces to hit certain notes. Sometimes he'll just like go from like a melody to breathing and it sounds the same, like the melody and the breathing is all in one. It just sounds hard to me."
