The September 30 edition of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon featured an SNL-style phony infomercial for a new album, The Avett Brothers Sing Heavy Metal.

The clip, which you can check out below, shows the hugely successful US folk band, the Avett Brothers (That's really them), performing Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills," Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" and Metallica's "One" — complete with acoustic guitar, banjo, standup bass, etc.

We also find out the fictional album features covers of tunes by Judas Priest, Slayer, Morbid Angel and Megadeth — plus fictional metal bands Clowns of Torment and Skull Rot.

That's Fallon doing the talking, obviously. Enjoy!

The Avett Brothers' eighth studio album, Magpie and the Dandelion, will be released October 15.

Metallica, who recently spent a great deal of quality time in New York City while promoting their new 3D film, Through the Never, have posted an official recap video of their September 21 show at Harlem's 1,500-capacity Apollo Theater.

You can check out the video — all 22-plus minutes of it (perfect for your lunch break) — below.

The clip includes "Broken, Beat & Scarred" at soundcheck, some funny stuff in the Tuning Room and a live performance of "Master Of Puppets" from the actual show.

Periphery's new music video for "Ragnarock" can be seen below.

The video, which was shot during the 2013 edition of Summer Slaughter in the US, was directed by Jeff Holcomb. It's from the band's latest album, Periphery II: This Time It's Personal.

From the band:

"Periphery will put the wraps on the most successful year of their career with a monstrous North American headlining tour that looks to be an event that progressive metal and rock fans will talk about for ages. The much-anticipated 'This Tour Is Personal' trek, sponsored by Jackson Guitars, ToonTrack, Guitar World and All In Merch, kicks off October 11 and features Born of Osiris, Dead Letter Circus and Twelve Foot Ninja."

Dream Theater's new, self-titled album sold in the ballpark of 34,000 copies in the US in its first week of release to debut at No. 7 on Billboard's Top 200 chart. The album was released September 24 through Roadrunner.

The band's 2011 studio album, A Dramatic Turn Of Events, opened with 36,000 units and landed at No. 8 on the charts. Their 2009 album, Black Clouds & Silver Linings, premiered with 40,000 copies to come in at No. 6.

"Overall, it was a just great experience in the studio, and we're all really proud of the record," guitarist John Petrucci told Guitar World. "And it's interesting — we've been doing this for a long time, but we feel just as passionate, or maybe even more passionate, about the creative process now as we were when we first started. We still get excited about making records and also about playing our music in front of people."

Below, you can check out Roadrunner USA's official stream of "The Enemy Inside," another track from Dream Theater (We debuted "Along for the Ride" several weeks ago).

The band's new Live At Luna Park CD/DVD/Blu-ray will be released November 5. It is available for pre-order now at myplaydirect.com. You can check out a trailer for the DVD below.

Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem — A Klok Opera, an animated one-hour special created by Brendon Small, will air at midnight Sunday, October 27, on Adult Swim.

The special includes guest appearances by Jack Black, Mark Hamill, Malcolm McDowell and Cannibal Corpse's George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher.

From the Dethklok gang:

"In Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem — A Klok Opera, we pick up directly after the abduction of Dethklok guitarist Toki Wartooth in the Season 4 finale. With his life in danger, his only salvation can come from the four most selfish human celebrities on Earth — his bandmates, extreme metal band Dethklok. Will they be able to get past their own egos to help someone besides themselves? Find out in this one-hour heavy metal rock opera special with a completely original score."

The original score from Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem — A Klok Opera will be released October 29.

From Dethklok:

"This isn't just your average metal record — this is full-blown musical featuring a 50-piece orchestra. This album features the bonus Dethklok single 'Blazing Star' and orchestral movements (produced by Small and composer Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica/Walking Dead). Also included with will be a bonus "making of" featurette with Executive Producer/creator/writer/musician Brendon Small and cast/musicians.

"Legendary powerhouse metal drummer Gene Hoglan returns to join Brendon and Dethklok. Other musicians include bassist Bryan Beller and Mike Keneally."

"This is not like anything we've ever done," Small says. "This is a full-blown musical-metal combined with symphonic passages, classic musical theater, high-stakes drama, emotional moments, and, yes, totally ridiculous comedy. I drew from all of my influences to make this the most unique project I could dream of. This is easily the best thing we've ever done with the show and the music. I can't wait for you to hear it."

Today, RevolverMag.com presents the premiere of an exclusive behind-the-scenes video from NYC-based rockers Eve To Adam — "The Making of 'Immortal'."

The video, which goes behind the scenes of the filming of their "Immortal" music video, was filmed in Journal Square in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Last month, Eve To Adam (ETA) premiered the official lyric video for "Immortal," which is dedicated to the men and women of the US armed services and their families.

"When thinking about what visuals should illustrate the core meaning of "Immortal" in our new lyric video, we had to look no further than the continued heroism and sacrifice of our military to carry the theme. This video is our way of showing respect and giving thanks for all that the men and women of the US Armed Services do on our behalf every single day. We salute you!" — Eve To Adam

ETA released their new album, Locked & Loaded via 3for5/MRI/Sony Red. The album is available for download on iTunes, and fans can pick up a physical copy on Amazon.

"From beat one, Eve To Adam's Locked and Loaded commands attention. If raw talent, good songs and dogged determination is what is needed to save rock and roll, then these guys are leading from the front! I'm proud to have worked on this record." — Eric Bass (Shinedown)

The album was produced by multiple notable producers including Dave Bassett (Shinedown, Halestorm), Eric Bass (Shinedown) and Elvis Baskette (Puddle of Mudd, Alter Bridge, Chevelle) and features ETA's smashing hit, "Immortal."

"ETA are on a mission to reclaim real rock and roll. The grit, the power, the danger ... it's all there with these guys and it was an amazing experience collaborating with them to bring the energy of their live show into the studio. To put it simply, they are poised to explode." — Dave Bassett (Halestorm)
