As the Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock tour continues to roll around the U.S., one of the performing bands, Martina Edoff has blogged about her experiences for Revolver.

For more on Martina Edoff follow her on Facebook.

After a long flight, and no sleep for 26 hours—we finally landed in Saskatoon, Canada! What an amazing Country! So beautiful!

We had our first gig at O'Brian's Event Centre and we didn't know what to expect, because the other bands on the bill are a bit apart from us musically. But the crowd reacted over expectation and it has gotten even better since!

What we thought would be a tough crowd the next day at a smaller club in Edmonton turned out to be a blast!! A participating audience with nodding heads and high fives as we left the Union Hall. Thank You!

At Mac Evans Ballroom in Calgary we spend a few hours searching for Nalleys (the bass player) laptop that he forgot in a cab. The venue was just amazing and the crowd as well, even though I wasn't listed to perform. Sometimes it's positive to be the underdog, because the crowd has no expectations.

Since we have been flying between the Canadian dates our tour mates, The Agonist has been helping out with our backline (thanks, guys! You are true troopers!)

A short flight to Vancouver took us to a day off, and a first chance to get some sleep, and a nice dinner out on the town. The day after we played a show at a beautiful venue named Vogue! A smaller but appreciative crowd got to see probably our best show of the tour so far! People were a bit late getting in, but we figure that the fact that AC/DC played eight blocks from us might have something to do with it... Some of the guys in the band were not happy that they missed the opportunity to go see them, but a lobby call at 5 a.m. had more priority.

An early flight took us to Seattle and our tour bus. Finally! We played a show at a small venue called Neumos, and our sound check got so delayed that we only had minutes to get everything working. The sound on the small stage was tough to work with, but that is OK as long as you know that the house sound is OK. And it always is, thanks to our amazing soundman, Ernie. Actually, all the bands on the bill sounded great that night! What a cool place.

We left straight after the show, and as I write this our bus driver Dave is taking us to San Francisco where we will enjoy an evening off!

Epica has announced the cancellation of their remaining North American tour dates, which includes the Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock run.

The band gave the following statement about their departure:

Dear North American fans.

It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce the cancellation of all remaining shows of our North American tour.

A couple of days ago Simone had to fly back to the Netherlands to be with her family due to an emergency. Sadly, there has been no major improvement in that situation so it is impossible for Simone to return to the tour at this moment. Therefore, we have no other option than to cancel the remaining dates.

The Revolver tour will carry on as scheduled with Eluveitie, The Agonist and Martina Edoff.

Since this is the second North American tour in support of The Quantum Enigma that is cancelled, we are doing everything we can to reschedule as much of the tour as possible for the beginning of next year.

If you wish to refund your tickets you can do this through the venue. VIP-tickets purchased through Soundrink will be refunded automatically. Tickets for this tour will not be valid for the rescheduled dates.

We want to thank all our fans and partners for their understanding and support in this difficult situation.

Sincerely,
Epica

New Years Day will release their new album, 'Malevolence,' on October 2 via Another Century. In anticipation, the band has teamed up with Revolver to premiere their new song, "Left Inside." Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments!

Vocalist Ash Costello said, "'Malevolence' is the most personal album we have ever written to date. More than ever you can really feel the blood and tears in these lyrics. It wasn't an easy process because it was so emotional but what came from it is honest and real. It's therapeutic and angry but still shows vulnerability.

Our producer Erik Ron will always start an album by asking me, 'What are you feeling right now?' to which I replied, 'Pissed off.'  I think anyone that has suffered through loss, betrayal, insecurity and abandonment will absolutely relate to it. For me, it felt so good to get everything I had been bottling up out and hopefully it helps others in the process."
