Morbid Angel's Covenant is one of death metal's most outstanding and revolutionary albums, and it's closing cut, "God of Emptiness," resounded so far and wide that, at one point, Korn were planning on recording a cover of it — before a bunch of the band found religion, of course. While we'll likely never get to see that down-tuned, slap-bass take, we can still luxuriate in the awesomeness of Beavis and Butt-Head's viewing of the song's cinematic demon-in-a-cathedral music video. The gruesome twosome start out enthralled — "Whoa!" "Was that a bear?" they exclaim when David Vincent's vocals first come in — then turn disenfranchised as the climatic "bow to me faithfully" section kicks in. "This is where it starts to get really stupid," groans Beavis, before he and his compadre begin singing along in hilarious fashion. Try not to laugh, even 25 years later — we dare you.
