Pick up tons of classic Amon Amarth vinyl — including their new album the Great Heathen Army — over at our shop!

Amon Amarth described their new album, The Great Heathen Army, as having much more of a death-metal influence than their recent material, and they're really sticking to their promise to please that section of their fanbase. In support of the record (out August 5th via Metal Blade), the Viking melodeath giants have announced a fall North American tour with three pillars of death metal — Carcass, Obituary and Cattle Decapitation.

It's one of the coolest extreme-metal package tours in recent memory, and it kicks off November 11th in Las Vegas before trekking throughout the U.S. and up into Canada, ultimately wrapping up December 17th in Los Angeles. Notably, the journey also marks Carcass' first U.S. tour in six long years, so there're numerous great reasons to make it out to this one later this year if you can.

Tickets go on sale this Friday July 15th at 10 a.m. local time, and will be available for purchase here. See the full list of dates below.

The Great Heathen Army is out August 5th via Metal Blade Records and pre-orders are available here.
