OFF! — the hardcore supergroup founded by Circle Jerks singer Keith Morris and Burning Brides guitarist Dimitri Coats — have announced that they're pulling the plug on the long-running project. They'll be playing three more shows this summer, which will coincide with screenings of their Free LSD movie.

The outfit confirmed the split today (May 7th), explaining that they're putting themselves on indefinite hiatus after playing shows in Chicago, New York City and Los Angeles this July.

Morris and Coats had founded OFF! in 2010, and quickly recorded their first-wave-hardcore-styled The First Four EPs collection. Over the years, the band evolved the sound to also include elements of psych and free jazz, with Coates and Morris last delivering the Free LSD album in 2022 alongside drummer Justin Brown (Thundercat, Flying Lotus, Herbie Hancock) and bassist Autry Fulbright II (...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead).

The shows, meanwhile, will reunite the group with founding drummer Mario Rubalcaba (Earthless, Hot Snakes). Fucked Up will be opening for OFF! in New York, with Shellac starting things off in Chicago, and Surfbort playing the Los Angeles show.

OFF! will also be hosting separate film screening events for the Free LSD movie. The film, which stars the band, follows a multiversal plotline where Morris, a sex shop worker, discovers he's the singer of a hardcore band in another reality. The film also stars Jack Black, Autry Fulbright II, D.H. Peligro (Dead Kennedys), David Yow (Jesus Lizard), Chelsea Debo, James Duval, Dana Gould, Barry Del Sherman, Davey Havok (AFI), Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Zander Schloss (Circle Jerks), Chloe Dykstra and many more.

The Free LSD screenings precede a digital release of the movie.
