See JACK BLACK play scientist in OFF!'s bizarre new "Time Will Come/L" video

Tenacious D star plays dramatic role in clip from 'Free LSD' feature film

Last year, the hardcore supergroup OFF! — Circle Jerks' Keith Morris, Burning Brides' Dimitri Coats, Thundercat's Justin Brown and Autry Fullbright II of ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead — returned with their first new album in eight years, Free LSD. Along with the new tunes, the band started rolling out a series of high-concept music videos that all consist of footage taken from an upcoming feature film, also titled Free LSD.

Today (January 18th), they've rolled out the latest chapter in a video for the songs "Time Will Come" and "L," and the visual features a cameo from actor and Tenacious D member Jack Black, who's appeared in at least one other OFF! music video over the years.

In it, Black beams in on a video call while wearing a lab coat, instructing the band to visit a mysterious lab "where the next stage of your journey awaits," Black says dramatically. While there, the band rock out to the songs as two scientists fiddle with knobs in the next room over.

The plot is sort of hard to follow, but surely it'll all be explained when the full Free LSD film premieres next week, January 26th, at the Slamdance Film Festival. More info here
