For fans of DEFTONES: Hear SISTERS' eerie new song "Born Again"

Featuring Spotlights member Mario Quintero

If you're a fan of bands like Deftones, Hum and Failure, than Sisters are a group you need to pay attention to. The band are a duo featuring Jason Blackmore (formerly of 1990s alt-rockers Molly McGuire) and Mario Quintero of Pittsburgh-based post-metal crew Spotlights, who just released one of the best albums of 2023 so far on Mike Patton's Ipecac Records.

Later this summer, Sisters will be releasing their debut album, Leecheater, and today (June 15th), we're stoked to be premiering its eerie, crunching lead single, "Born Again."

The bouncy riffage and slightly whispered, understated vocals definitely bring to mind the aforementioned groups, but there's a bit more experimental flair in the instrumentation that makes Sisters stand out from their peers. Check it out above via YouTube.

"'Born Again' is a song about sinful, evil, corrupt people that commit crimes, or are just plain bad people who think they can turn to religion and be excused or forgiven for their actions," the band say.

Leecheater is due out August 25th via Spartan Records and you can pre-order it here.
