Just a few hours after the Foo Fighters announced the lineup for the London iteration of their pair of Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts, the band have now unveiled the star-studded lineup for the L.A. show. Alongside the Foos themselves, members of Rage Against the Machine, KISS, Rush, Queens of the Stone Age and many other high-profile performers will be making appearances at the September 27th performance at L.A.'s the Kia Forum, following September 3rd's tribute show at London's Wembley Stadium.
Last week, the band announced that they were they were partnering with the Hawkins family for two all-star tribute concerts honoring their late drummer, who shockingly died in March at the age of 50. The initial announcement described the performances as a union of the Foos and other famous fans and friends playing the songs that Hawkins "fell in love with, and the ones he brought to life."
The L.A. tribute show will feature performances by the Foo Fighters, Rush's Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme, Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor, Rage Against The Machine's Brad Wilk, Mötley Crüe's Nikki Sixx, KISS star Gene Simmons, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Miley Cyrus, Joan Jett, Alanis Morissette, Mars Volta/current Queens Of The Stone Age drummer Jon Theodore, Weezer's Pat Wilson. The Struts frontman Luke Spiller, Wolfgang Van Halen, Rufus Taylor, Mark Ronson, Chris Chaney, Stewart Copeland and Omar Hakim.
