Los Angeles quartet Graf Orlock — the self-proclaimed kings of "cinemagrind" — have spent a career writing blistering, minute-long grindcore songs about Robocop, Aliens, and everything in between. Today though, they're updating their canon from the usual Eighties sci-fi touchstones to focus on 2017's Logan — the poignant send-off for Hugh Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine, and probably also the greatest superhero film ever made.

The song is called "Alternative Route to Mexico," and it's taken from Graf Orlock's upcoming album Examinations of Violent Cinema Vol. 1. It sounds like the inner-monologue of an angry, bereaved mutant who's wishing for nothing more than his own death, which is very much the point.

"Wolverine is a great character due to unmitigated rage and lifelong asocial behaviors," said frontman Johnathan Schmidt in an interview with Kerrang. Listen to the track below.
