Hear KITTIE's Morgan Lander rage on MODERN WITCHCRAFT's sludgy new song

Band helmed by Mercedes Lander's husband

While we all eagerly await Kittie's first album in over a decade — rumored for 2024 — the band's frontwoman, Morgan Lander, can be heard on Modern Witchcraft's new song, "Sugar for Rats."

Kittie's own music has veered into more extreme territory since the band's landmark nu-metal debut, 1999's Spit, and in that vein, "Sugar for Rats," sees Lander diving into some seriously sludgy waters.

"We are beyond excited and privileged to have her on a song with us," Modern Witchcraft commented of Lander's guest appearance.

If you're wondering how the Ohio sludge band landed the feature, we have a good guess: Modern Witchcraft are helmed by vocalist-guitarist Stephen Barton, who also happens to the husband of Mercedes Lander, Morgan's sister and Kittie's drummer.

This past fall, the Lander siblings and their Kittie bandmates were in the studio with producer Nick Raskulinecz, reportedly working on the follow-up to 2011's I've Failed You. Stay tuned for more.
