Later this summer, Richmond crossover thrash partygoers Municipal Waste will release their first full-length album in a long five years, Electrified Brain. They paired the announcement with a firy new single called "Grave Dive," and now they're following that with another slice of ripping punk-metal dubbed "High Speed Steel."
When it comes to fun-loving thrash with goofy lyrics and killer riffs, few bands do it better than Municipal Waste, and "High Speed Steel" is no exception. An ode to the metal genre that shapes their identities, it's a two-and-a-half minute jolt of ironclad speed metal that'll make you want to crush cans on your forehead and ride dirtbikes through a Starbucks. Electrified Brain is out July 1st via Nuclear Blast Records and is available for pre-order in a variety of formats. Over at our shop, we have two vinyl variants up for grabs on yellow and "blue marble" colored wax.
