Hear REVEL AT DUSK's new post-grunge anthem "Lie to Yourself"

Band helmed by Godsmack collaborator John Kosco

Revel at Dusk are relative newcomers to the scene, having formed in 2020 in New Jersey, but frontman John Kosco (lead vocals, guitar and piano) is a hard-rock veteran with deep ties to Godsmack. His former band, Dropbox, toured with the "I Stand Alone" hit-makers in the 2000s, and Kosco also co-wrote the 2004 Godsmack song "Touché," on which he dueted with that band's Sully Erna.

The chops honed from such experiences are showcased on Revel at Dusk's new single, "Lie to Yourself," a burly, post-grunge anthem that arrived today (June 23rd) accompanied by a high-octane performance video. Watch and listen above.

"This song was born at rehearsal," Revel at Dusk tell us in a joint statement. "The great thing about this group is that when someone plays a riff, they effortlessly turn into songs. Lie to Yourself is a testament to the chemistry of this band. It felt good when riff came out and even better when finishing the song, and John's vocals are just showcased really well. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did writing it. Bang your head, put them horns up, and enjoy a cold one."
