Getting lost is never fun, but getting lost without your phone, friends or personal belongings at a random gas station in a foreign country? That shit sucks, and Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer would know.

In a new interview with SiriusXM, the nu-metal axman and his bandmate, drummer Ray Luzier, recalled a time when Korn were traveling through Germany, and Shaffer ended up getting left behind at a gas station while the rest of the band slept soundly on the tour bus.

"I left my phone on the bus so I couldn't call anybody to  ome back and get me," Shaffer said while recounting the tale, which he now looks back on as humorous

"The weird thing was, I got off to take a crap and [to] the bus driver I said, 'Hey man, I'm going in to use the bathroom.' And he's putting gas in the bus, he's like, 'Kay.' Next thing [I know], I came out and I was like ... I thought you guys were fucking with me."

"So by the time at the lady at the gas station — who barely spoke English — let me use the phone, I called my house. My wife called the tour manager."

And that's how Shaffer ended up back in camp Korn. Sounds like a nightmare, though. Watch Shaffer and Luzier recall the story below.
