UPDATE: Ozzy Osbourne is doing "much better," according to his son. Jack Osbourne shared the update in an Instagram post today, which also included a "thanks to all" for their messages of support and concern.

ORIGINAL STORY, 2/6/19: Last week, Ozzy Osbourne was forced to postpone his entire U.K. tour due to a severe upper respiratory infection, telling fans he was "completely devastated" at the news. Now to continue his healing, the singer has checked into Keck Hospital of USC for treatment.

Osbourne's wife and manager Sharon confirmed the news via Twitter. "As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu," she told followers earlier today. "His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love."

Sharon reportedly arrived at the hospital with Ozzy, then left and returned a short time later with a blanket and suitcase for what appears to be an overnight stay. She was also absent from Tuesday's edition of The Talk, a current events show she co-hosts.

Physicians feared Ozzy's condition could worsen and turn into pneumonia without the proper care, and the singer followed their orders to hopefully change his luck health-wise following a long string of incidents. "It just seems that since October everything I touch has turned to shit," he said in a statement, citing the infections in his fingers along with this most recent illness.

Ozzy's final world tour is scheduled to resume on Sunday, March 9 at the Download Festival in Sydney, Australia.
