Curated by the Cure's Robert Smith, U.K. festival Meltdown 2018 is hosting an array of music's most compelling active artists, including the Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, Placebo, Mogwai, My Bloody Valentine, Manic Street Preachers, 65daysofstatic and Alcest from June 15-24th. Monday (June 18th) the annual music and arts event featured sets from Death Cab for Cutie, God Is an Astronaut, Emma Ruth Rundle and Pennsylvanian gloomgaze miserablist Planning for Burial. The one-man project of Thom Wasluck brought angst, feedback and fleeting beauty to London's Purcell Room. Photographer Nick Sayers trailed Wasluck at Meltdown and captured the evocative shots above and below.
