See Ghost Cover Death's "Zombie Ritual" in Tribute to Chuck Schuldiner

Occult-rock band honor Florida death-metal legend in his home state

Ghost are far from the heaviest band in the history of metal, but they still know their shit. During the occult-rock band's September 6th show in Tampa, Florida, one of the nameless ghouls ripped into the main riff of Death's "Zombie Ritual" as a tribute to the late, great Chuck Schuldiner, who founded the quintessential death metal band in the same state.

The riff is a fucking classic from Death's monumental 1987 debut, Scream Bloody Gore, and while Tobias Forge didn't get up there and start snarling along, it served as a super cool interlude before Ghost ripped into "Cirice." Watch them play it above via YouTube.
