The Soft Moon's Criminal, released by Sacred Bones Records in February, is one of our favorite albums of the year so far, a seething, sinister balm to the soul for any fan of old-school (or new-school) industrial music, and certainly for anyone disenfranchised with Nine Inch Nail's more recent output. The brainchild of post-punk auteur Luis Vasquez, the Soft Moon has gotten a gritty, lo-fi video treatment for Criminal standout "Like a Father" courtesy of director Kelsey Henderson, who matches the song to a glitchy black-and-white tableau of surreal horrors, mirror reflections and masked threats. We have all our daddy issues, but this shit is next level. See the clip above.
