See John 5 Lead Cult in "Total Acid-Trip Rave Party" in New Two-Song Video

Rob Zombie guitarist promises, "It's full of everything you could want — guitars, tits and monsters!"

John 5 can do some pretty fucking insane things on a guitar, but above all else he knows how to hone in on a badass riff. On John 5 and the Creatures' latest songs, "Crank It" and "Living With Ghosts" — off the forthcoming album Invasion — he does just that, and builds off each cuts' catchy, vibrant guitar hook in some interesting ways. The two-song video for both numbers shows what could be some kind of cult, dressed in all white, the members taking acid tabs adorned with John 5's logo. As soon as it hits a woman's tongue, everything turns into a blacklit, neon-soaked headtrip where a cast of ghouls get down to the music. John 5 is the ringleader of it all, showing off his lava-lamp guitar, which moves neon fluids through the instrument's body. In his skeleton outfit, the Rob Zombie axeman nails some huge-as-hell solos, leading the video to "Living With Ghosts," which is paired with sepia-soaked visuals showing John 5 surrounded by worshippers for the ultimate send-off.

"This video begins with total acid-trip rave party for 'Crank It,' and the second portion of the song, 'Living With Ghosts,' is the come down," says John 5. "This video depicts all of the things you secretly want when you go to a party — craziness, indulgence. It's full of everything you could want — guitars, tits and monsters!" Check it out above.
