Being in a band is hard, but being a stay-at-home parent can be even harder sometimes. The latest Ageist music video, for the single "Babyface," highlights and salutes such largely unsung heroes, showing what we can only assume is a soccer mom with her minivan as she takes a few cathartic and surreal moments for herself when no one is around. Shot beautifully, the cinematic clip is only surpassed in quality by the melodic post-hardcore approach of the track, which comes via current and ex-members of Mind Over Matter, Primitive Weapons, Thursday and more, leaning on hooky clean vocals while never sacrificing a great riff. Fans of Quicksand, Jawbreaker and Seaweed — this is for you. "Babyface" is culled from the band's LP of the same name, streaming below for the first time and available in hard formats soon.
