Slayer Gone Trap-Metal: Hear ZillaKami and Jeris Johnson's Remake of "Raining Blood"

"Make it rain blood, I could fill a cup"

TikTok rocker Jeris Johnson and City Morgue rapper ZIllaKami have flipped Slayer's "Raining Blood" into a trap-metal song. The pair of young rap-rockers have sampled the riff from possibly the greatest thrash song ever, reshuffled some of its lyrics ("Make it rain blood, I could fill a cup") and fashioned it into an 808-laced banger that could fit snugly on a house party playlist.

This is a remix format that Johnson has already proved his success with, having dropped a "reloaded" version of Papa Roach's "Last Resort" back in 2021 that ended up going viral. ZillaKami, on the other hand, is used to scream-rapping over harsh metal chugs in his own music, and as a lifelong hardcore and metalhead, he speaks the language of heavy music and delivers a pretty awesome verse over the "Raining Blood" sample.

The accompanying music video appears to be a reference to Slipknot's "Duality" video, as the duo lose their shit performing at a house party in the middle of nowhere. Watch and listen above via YouTube.

Below, watch ZillaKami and his City Morgue partner SosMula talk about shitting themselves onstage, mosh pits, Slipknot, what they listen to on their own and much more.
