SLIPKNOT: See 'The Conjuring' star Vera Farmiga crush "Duality" cover

It's always cool to discover that a Hollywood figure isn't just a real-deal metalhead, but an actually metal musician. Add actress Vera Farmiga — known for her roles in the Conjuring horror series, as well as the Departed, the Manchurian CandidateGodzilla: King Of The Monsters, Hawkeye and more— to that list. On Monday night (April 17th), Farmiga took the stage at the Rock Academy in Woodstock, New York, to utterly crush a cover of Slipknot's "Duality."

The Rock Academy is an organization that links up musicians of all ages and fosters the playing of rock and metal music. Farmiga had previously showed up at this event to cover Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" and Black Sabbath's "War Pigs," but this time she busted out an impressive rendition of Slipknot's 2004 hit — which isn't an easy song to sing along with.

Regardless, Farmiga did a faithful channeling of Corey Taylor's spitfire vocal delivery, and the band she was playing with did a great job holding down the instrumentation, including the iconic keg thwack. Watch the performance go down below.
