VOLBEAT's Michael Poulsen: Hear ASINHELL's monstrous new death-metal song

"Island of Dead Men" the second single from their Metal Blade debut

Volbeat frontman Michael Poulson has reignited his passion for death metal with his new band Asinhell, and like any worthwhile old-school death metal band, Asinhell just delved into the realm of cannibalism with the new track "Island of Dead Men."

The band — fronted by ex-Morgoth vocalist Marc GreweI — debuted their first-ever single, "Fall of the Loyal Warrior," back in June, which was dripping with the iconic, Swedish chainsaw-tone that also coats "Island of Dead Men."

"'Island of Dead Men' was the second song I wrote for the album," Poulsen said in a press release. "It's one of the faster and more aggressive songs on the record, but with a groovy Death chorus and a solid middle piece that hails the mighty Autopsy. Enjoy… or don't!"

Asinhell's debut album, Impii Hora (Latin for Ungodly Hour), will be released September 29th via Metal Blade. Check out "Island of Dead Men" above via YouTube, and pre-order here
