Yesterday (March 3rd) marked the 35th anniversary of Metallica's Master of Puppets, one of the greatest metal albums of all time. James, Kirk, Rob and Lars commemorated the milestone in style, appearing as the musical guests on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to tear through Master's pummeling opener "Battery." The performance was Metallica's second on Colbert in less than a month: The band played the late night show's post-Super Bowl episode in February, running through the Black Album's inescapable smash single "Enter Sandman." For fans who wanted a deeper, heavier cut from that performance, last night's "Battery" should hit the spot. Watch above.
